Use for hinged feet and their assembly
To function perfectly, machines, work tables or fixtures require precise alignment, with simultaneous stepless height adjustment and maximum stability. Machine feet perform these tasks perfectly. The hinged foot is used to compensate for larger irregularities or inclinations. Like all machine feet, it consists of a base plate and a threaded rod for height compensation.
The hinged foot, however, has another special feature compared to the simple machine foot. Here the threaded rod is connected to the plate foot in a hinged manner. This is achieved by the spherical end of the threaded rod. The entire load of the machine part then rests on this.
Construction, sizes and material
In order to be able to mount machine feet correctly, some basic information about their construction is required. In its entirety, a machine foot and thus also the hinged foot consists of two essential elements. The foot plate itself ensures a safe stand. The threaded screw anchored in it is used for fastening and levelling. As a rule, the foot has a disc shape in which the threaded rod is positioned centrally. Eccentric designs are used when access to the floor for fastening the hinged foot can be better ensured by an eccentric foot plate.
The available sizes (plate diameters) range from 40 to 123 millimetres. Corresponding threaded rods have threads from M8 to M24, with lengths varying between 80 and 200 millimetres. The load ranges from 500 kg to 3500 kg per foot. All foot plates without floor fixing can also be equipped with an anti-slip sole. However, from a diameter of 80 millimetres, foot plates have holes for anchor bolts to absorb heavy loads and vibrations.
The hinged feet are available in the following materials . The foot plates are made of black polyamide, while the threaded rods are made of galvanized steel (for example: machine foot galvanized steel diameter 50 mm – hinged foot), stainless steel (for example: Machine foot stainless steel diameter 40 mm – articulated foot INOX) and polyamide with integrated steel insert (for example: machine foot polyamide diameter 60 mm – articulated foot) can be selected.
