Machine foot galvanized steel diameter 80 mm – hinged foot

The machine foot is made of galvanized steel with a diameter of 80 mm. The articulated foot is designed for loads of up to 1000 kg per foot. It consists of a threaded rod with ball joint and can therefore adapt well to uneven ground.

Machine foot for assembly tables and other applications

The machine foot is also known as the leveling foot or adjustable foot and is one of the most innovative accessories for anchoring assembly tables, machines and other plant equipment. Not only the reliable and durable anchoring comes to the fore here, but also the high precision and economy during assembly. Since machine feet represent independently functioning and reusable units, this advantage is particularly important in areas with changing operating equipment. This is the case when production processes change or when seasonally changing products determine the production process. The assembly table often leads a shadowy existence in this respect, but it is a central device that is dependent on smooth operation.

The machine foot as a universal solution

Companies that are always careful to use the most efficient permanent solution use a machine foot, which is offered in many variations, as a safe alternative for the installation of assembly tables and plant equipment. Models that do not require any additional anchoring are particularly economical. For this purpose, the foot plates can be equipped with anti-slip soles, which are available for all plate sizes.
The plate diameters range from 40 to 123 millimetres in many gradations. The threaded rods, also known as adjusting screws, are anchored in the base made of high-strength plastic with a pressure plate. In addition to galvanized steel, the adjusting screws can also be supplied in stainless steel, which is particularly important in the food industry.

Application for assembly tables and factory equipment

Non-anchored machine feet are selected to be larger in diameter than the actual load weight requires in order to increase stability. The size depends on the type of load and the condition of the substrate. An assembly table or tables in meat processing which rest on hard stone or concrete can therefore manage with smaller plate diameters. Paving stones or wooden floors require larger bearing surfaces and thus larger diameters.
Even if the objects to be processed weigh only a few kilograms, assembly tables are often exposed to strong shock and impact loads, which release forces of one or more tons at short notice. Even constantly repeated vibrations can lead to the fact that a reliable stability without anchoring bolts anchored in the subfloor is not possible in the long run. This is particularly true for floors with an inclination, where articulated feet are used to compensate. Although the assembly table can be levelled so precisely, it has the urge to leave its position following the inclination without anchoring.
